About Piaar

Networking should be designed, not endured.

Piaar exists because the most valuable conversation of the week is usually the one you stumbled into. We thought that was a bug worth fixing.

The problem we kept seeing.

Across academic conferences, healthcare summits, and tech meetups, the same pattern repeated. Brilliant people in the same room, never finding each other. Attendee lists told you who was present, but never who mattered. Hours of small talk produced almost no signal.

The high-value match — the collaborator, the mentor, the eventual co-founder — was almost always there. But discovery was random. ROI was poor. People went home with business cards they never followed up on, and the connections that could have changed something never happened.

Piaar started as a response to that. A way to convert random networking into something predictable.

"The platform was created to address persistent inefficiencies in professional networking observed across academic, healthcare, and technology conferences."

What we believe

Three things we won't compromise on.

These aren't marketing values. They're the constraints that shaped the product, including the parts we said no to.

Quiet, not addictive

No streaks, no infinite feeds, no notifications begging you back. The app earns its open by being useful, not by hooking you. If you open Piaar twice a week and that's enough, we did our job.

Privacy as architecture

We don't scrape public profiles. We don't sell skills data. We don't follow you between events. The privacy model isn't a settings page — it's how the matching engine was designed in the first place.

Mutual fit over reach

Other networks measure success by followers and impressions. We measure it by whether the people who message each other actually wanted to. Bidirectional matching is the whole point.

The mission

Skills meet opportunity.

The tagline isn't decoration. It's the architecture. Every screen, every score, every notification is built around one question — does this surface a match the user would actually want to know about? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't ship.

The internet rewards reach. Piaar rewards relevance. We're not trying to be everywhere — we're trying to be useful in a specific moment: when you're looking for someone, and someone is looking for you, and the two of you would never find each other otherwise.

That's a smaller mission than "connect the world's professionals." It's also one we think we can actually deliver on.

Curious? Try it.
